  1. 1.     Applications & features

1.1   Applicable widely by steel works, non-ferrous metal melting works, raw metallic material manufacturers, etc for shearing & cutting off the following:

-  All sectioned and profiled metals such as round steel, square steel, channel, angle, I- steel and steel plates

-         productional & living metallic wastes

-         fabricated elements such as automotive beams & girders

-         various plastic non-ferrous metals, such as stainless steel, aluminum alloys and copper alloys.

 

1.2 Its features include but not limited to:

-  Hydraulic drive makes a low noise, stable running, small inertia, smooth operation and larger cutoff section.

-         Integration of mechanicals, electrical and hydraulics. Visual and easy operation. Single (STEP mode) and continuous (AUTO mode) motion can be exchangeable. It can stop or run at any position. Overload protection is available.

-         Applicable not only for metal recycling but for foundry plants in cutting off metal material into shape and sizes as per need.

 

  1. 2.     Machine structure & working principle

2.1 Please refer to machine structure sketch. Consists of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems and auxiliary device.

2.1.1 The machine body is composed of base, cutter rack, hydraulic cylinders and auxiliary devices.

2.1.1.1 The base consists of bottom base, left & right frames, bottom cutter seat, cutting cylinder stand. All are welded together. The frames and bottom base are all aging treated. The frames are made of two sheets, inner and outer, with good appearance and rigidness. The bottom cutter seat is welded to the base front and supports cutters. Shaft sleeves are available on the frames for mounting cutter rack axle and rack itself. On the left frame there is the pressing cylinder stand for the pressing cylinder pressing plates. Also a stand is welded to the frame tail for the cutting cylinder.

2.1.1.2 The cutter rack is a most important moving part. At its front mounted is the top cutter or a moving cutter. A shaft sleeve is coated around the mid of the cutter rack shaft. When it is worn out, you  can just change it. A guide plate is at the tail. The tail is jointed with the cylinder by means of pin axles at the top of the tail. When the cylinder operates, it brings about the cutter rack to move up and down around the cutter rack shaft and does cutting off.

2.1.1.3 Cylinders are the executive elements in the hydraulic system.

 

AA. Cutting-off cylinder: The cylinder body sits on the stand by means of 2 half pin axles. The piston rod end connects with the cutter rack. Pressurized oil acts on the piston and the rod reciprocates inside the body, bringing about the cutter rack to swing around its shaft to achieve shearing and return motions.

 

BB. Pressing cylinder: Its tail is mounted to the left frame with pin axles and its end connects to the pressing plate. Pressurized oil acts on the piston and the rod reciprocates inside the body, bringing about the pressing plate to swing around its shaft to achive pressing and opening motions.

Guide bush is available at the port to support and guide the piston rod. Also it serves as a sealing element.

2.1.1.4 Auxiliary devices include mainly the adjusting sleeve, fixed guide board, follower guide board and adjusting shim boards for friction ring. They can be used to set clearance between blades.

 

2.1.2 Electrical system consists of 2 sections: control circuit for motor and that for motions.

2.1.3 Hydraulic system is composed of pump unit, valve unit, oil yank and oil piping.

 

2.2 Working principle

switch on the mains power Start the motor all change valves are in home position and the pump is no-load running Push the CUTOFF button high pressure oil flows, under preset system pressure, into cutoff and pressing cylinder rear cavity via change valves to push the piston to move forward The cutter rack and pressing board driven by the two cylinders and execute shearing and pressing respectively. Push the RETURN button and the oil gets into the front cavity Both cutoff and pressing cylinders return to complete cutting and open the pressing board.
